Our History

1998

The Beginning
Roni Dersovitz spent 14 years as a litigator watching contingency-fee firms win cases and wait months — sometimes years — to get paid. No bank would lend against a settlement. So he built one that would. RD Legal was founded to do one thing: turn resolved cases into immediate capital.

2000's

Growth
Word traveled fast in the legal community. RD Legal expanded its client base beyond law firms, Administrators and lien resolution agents, and other litigation professionals across the country — filling a financing gap the banking industry had no interest in solving.

2010's

DEPTH
Complex, high-value cases became our specialty. Multi district litigations, structured settlements, delayed insurance payouts — the harder the timing problem, the more we could help. We deepened our underwriting capability and built the infrastructure to fund at scale.
