Law firms today are facing a challenging financial environment. Since the recession, many law practices have been forced to reevaluate their financial options. Firms which previously were able to rely on a line of credit or loan from a traditional bank or lender have found such avenues of financing drying up. Furthermore, traditional lenders are under more regulation and increased pressure to raise their lending standards which has made it harder for many law firms to access capital. To fill this financial void, legal funding companies and alternative finance firms have emerged, becoming increasingly popular over the last decade.
Mr. Genovesi joined RD Legal in 2011 as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Origination. Mr. Genovesi has 12 years of experience in the alternative investment industry. He was the SVP at an alternative investment advisory firm as well as VP at a global asset manager with over $3 billion in hedge fund investments. He has an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University and a BS in Finance from Villanova University.
RD Legal was founded by former litigator Roni Dersovitz. RD Legal provides post-settlement funding cash flow solutions to attorneys via their proprietary Fee Acceleration program. For more than a decade, RD Legal has firmly established itself as a nationwide leader in the law firm financing space. The company purchases attorney’s future legal fees for personal injury, medical malpractice, class action, workers compensation, and other case types. RD Legal has offices in New Jersey and California.
