There has been recent news concerning the $310 million DRAM antitrust settlement for indirect purchaser plaintiffs. If you are a plaintiff’s attorney involved in the litigation, hopefully you will soon be paid for all your hard work. However, unforeseen delays can often prevent you from receiving your attorney fees in a timely manner, even after a settlement has been reached. RD Legal Funding can provide a solution with our Post-Settlement Attorney Fee Acceleration Program.
Plaintiffs who purchased a DRAM module between 1998 and 2002 may be eligible to receive a portion of a $310 million settlement.
DRAM, also known as Dynamic Random Access Memory, is a component of many different computerized devices, such as desktop computers, digital cameras, DVD players, and MP3 players. More often known simply as dynamic RAM, DRAM is used as short term memory for computers. DRAM is different from SRAM, another memory-storing product, because the capacitor charge is often refreshed.
The lawsuit against DRAM manufacturers alleges that prices were fixed between 1998 and 2002. As a result, many Americans paid more than necessary for devices containing DRAM.
An investigation completed in 2006 confirmed that DRAM producers had entered into a price fixing conspiracy, thus overcharging customers.
Claimants will be eligible to receive between $10 and $1000 of the settlement payout, depending on how much DRAM was purchased.
All claims for the DRAM Antitrust Litigation must be submitted on or before August 1, 2014. Anyone who purchased a product with DRAM may be eligible to collect. If you are a plaintiff and would like more information about how to file a claim, you can visit the official DRAM website at http://dramclaims.com.
