Black Farmers Talk about Their Battles of Racism with the USDA
RD Legal Funding has been interested in the Black Farmers’ pursuit of justice since 2010. While the details of the settlement continue to get worked out, we invite you to listen to New Orleans, Wake Up!!! on Blog Talk radio to hear two black farmers and journalist Monica Davis discuss the history of the black farmers.
The farmers will talk about the policies and practices they suffered from under the United States Department of Agriculture, and Ms. Davis will discuss her research on black farmers. The show will take place on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. If you would like to call in during the program to speak with the host, you can do so by calling (646) 716-5014.
Blog Talk Radio is an internet radio platform that allows more voices to be heard on different subjects as compared to traditional radio. This subject, while on people’s minds, has not been in the news headlines lately. It’s good to see someone devote an entire show to this issue.
