Woman Wins $3 Million from MTA After Witness Comes Forward

The New York Post reported the story of Crystal Wright-Johnson who seemed like she was going to be on the losing end of a civil lawsuit against the Metropolitan Transit Authority in New York City. Apparently, as she tried to board a bus, the driver started moving, dragging her and causing serious injuries. As a result, she had to go on disability.

As the court case went on, the woman could not find any witnesses to back up her story, even after flooding her neighborhood with flyers about the incident. The bus driver denied the incident happened. Then, at what seemed like the eleventh hour, a witness stepped forward and backed her claims. The MTA saw this and agreed to a $3 million settlement.
