Manhattan Institute Takes Aim at Litigation Industry

The Manhattan Institute’s Center for Legal Policy takes aim at the litigation industry with calls for civil justice reform. The center publishes articles in newspapers, magazines, and academic journals espousing the virtues of legal reform. The Center discusses among other things regulation through litigation, class action lawsuits, employment law, product liability, judicial selection, and reform proposals.

Disclaimer: They are one of the organizations that would be against litigation funding. Some critics of the industry have a cause and effect point of view that always ends up being negative when it comes to litigation funding. Organizations like the Center for Legal Policy never acknowledge the fact that a free market solution has arisen to help plaintiffs get a fair shot in court against well-moneyed defendants.
